01Which lasers does Derma Lounge use for hair removal?+
Derma Lounge uses the Candela GentleMax Pro, a medical-grade laser system with two wavelengths: Alexandrite (755 nm) for lighter skin tones and Nd (1064 nm) for darker skin tones. The laser works by targeting pigment in the hair follicle with controlled energy, helping reduce future hair growth while protecting the surrounding skin. Since hair grows in different cycles, multiple sessions are needed for the best results. Most clients require approximately 6–8 sessions, with the exact number depending on your skin tone, hair type, hormones, and treatment area. Your provider will customize your treatment plan and settings for safe, effective results.
